Or consider Gifts via your Will or Trust
Naming the Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter in your will or trust is one of the simplest and most lasting ways to make a real difference in the lives of our animals.
Your attorney can include a provision in your will or trust that provides for a gift to the Shelter. This can be done when you make a will or a codicil for this purpose can be prepared without rewriting your entire will. You may also designate the gift for specific programs at the Shelter.
Gifts by will or via a trust to the Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter are tax-deductible under section 170(c)(1) of the Internal Revenue Code and there is no limit on the federal estate tax deduction for such gifts. Please consult with your own advisor as we obviously cannot provide you legal or tax advice.
Contact the Shelter’s Director, Laura Burban at (203) 315-4125 for more information. All inquiries are kept in the strictest confidence.
