The
Information
Technology Department is responsible for all
computers, data networks, servers, printers,
computer software/data (including all Geographic
Information System data), the Town’s web site,
copiers, telephones and fax machines for all
departments except those associated with the Board
of Education. The
mission of the department is
“To serve the Citizens and Town employees of
Branford by providing maximum authorized access to
Town owned technologies and services to promote
operational efficiencies, public access to
information and internet access to municipal
services”. Additionally, Information Technology
is responsible for the legal, safe and secure
storage of all server based data such that in the
event of a server failure or building disaster, the
data can be recovered.
