South Montowese Street: (Part of 9.5 Acres       Indian Neck School Parcel)

                                   

Multi-purpose field: 1 Lacrosse Field, 1 junior soccer field, little league practice field, parking lot.

Winter: open

Spring: lacrosse

Summer: little league baseball practice field

Fall: soccer

 

Maintenance: Board of Education maintains property.

Patty’s Park

Parish Farm Road: (0.94 Acre)

 

Soccer Field, spectator seating, irrigation is forth coming, portable restrooms.

Winter: snow shoeing

Spring: soccer

Summer: open field

Fall: soccer

NOTE: Murphy School schedules utilizes for gym classes & special events

 

Maintenance: portable restrooms, cutting, fall and spring clean up, done by Recreation Department Staff. Irrigation will be maintained by Recreation Department.

 

Stony Creek Boat Launch

(Part of 0.46 acre parcel)

 

Kayaking and Canoe launch

 

Maintenance: Small beach maintained by Recreation Department.

Stony Creek Park (Madera Park)

Thimble Island Road:          (Part of 0.46 acre parcel)

 

Open space, park benches, and portable restrooms.

 

Maintenance: Portable restrooms, trash pick up by Recreation Maintenance Staff.  Cutting, fall and spring clean ups are sub-contracted by Recreation Department.

Tisko Field

Damascus Road: (Part of 11.55 Acres Tisko School)

 

1 girls softball field, 1 back stop, open space, playground,

Parcel spectator seating, players benches, portable restrooms.

 

Maintenance: Portable restrooms, trash and lining provided by Recreation Maintenance Staff.  Cutting sub-contracted by Recreation Department.

Walsh Intermediate School

Damascus Road: (29.01 acre)

                                   

Multi Purpose Field                                                            

2 softball field, full size soccer field, full size lacrosse field open space, track, playground, project adventure course, basketball courts, lighted tennis courts, portable restrooms.

 

Winter: cross country skiing

Spring: Girls Softball, Lacrosse

Summer: Girls Softball, Lacrosse

Fall: Football, soccer

 

Maintenance: Portable restrooms provided by Recreation Department.  Board of Ed maintains the rest.  Recreation Department assists with lining and field preparation occasionally.

Town Green

Main St. –From Old Theatre Building to Tenderloins :(5.2 acres)

Gardens, open space, park benches, flag pole, bus stop,

irrigation system provided by flagpole, bus stops, and gardens.

 

Owned by First Congregational Church

Managed by Town of Branford and cared for by Recreation Department.

 

Maintenance: Trash pick up- 7 days a week, Irrigation maintained by Recreation Department. Cutting spring and fall clean ups, garden maintenance sub-contracted by Recreation Department.

Snow Removal: 

Sidewalks and parking lots

 

Maintenance: Recreation Department Maintenance Staff is responsible for the town center sidewalks, all town owned parking lots, sidewalks on Cedar Street from exit 54 northbound to Veteran’s Memorial Park, Veteran’s Memorial Park to Squire Hill.  Sidewalks on Montowese Street to the Armory, All the sidewalks in the 4th ward.
