Branford Point Beach is located in the south central
part of town at the end of Harbor Street and is governed
by the Parker Park Association. The beach is open to
the public until dusk. Parking is limited to Branford
Residents only and you must have a parking pass. Pass
may be obtained by contacting the Tax Collectors office
at 203-481-0381. Branford Point Beach is staffed by
lifeguards Memorial Day through Labor Day Weekend from
10:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. daily. While visiting the park
there are facilities for swimming as well as
picnicking. There is a small playground for younger
children to enjoy. For those folks who like to sit by
the shore, the park offers much shade to enjoy the
scenery or to read a book. Parker Park offers running
water and rest rooms. There is also a bath house for
changing and rinsing off after swimming. The park
closes at 10:00 P.M. and is monitored by the Branford
Police Department. Fishing is prohibited in the
swimming area, but is allowed from the end of the pier.
Small boats, canoes, kayaks, jet skis, etc maybe
launched from the State Boat launch, located on Goodsell
Point Road.
