Summer: Recreation Department provides lifeguards, lifeguard chairs and equipment

Stony Creek Beach is located in the southeast section of town and is open to the general public.  This beach is staffed with lifeguards Memorial Day through Labor Day daily during peak tides.  A quaint beach nestled in Stony Creek there is much to enjoy.  Adjacent to the beach is Madera Park to enjoy watching the boats or to just sit and relax while enjoying lunch.  Parking is limited. Fishing is prohibited in the swimming area.  Small boats, canoes and kayaks maybe launched from the boat launch located on the other side of Madera Park.  Port-a-lets are available for restroom facilities just a few feet from the beach area.

Maintenance: Trash pick up by Recreation Maintenance Staff.  General maintenance done by Recreation Department and Stony Creek Association.
