Garbage (trash) for those receiving collection
through the Town hauler* is collected once a week
all year on the same day as your Recycling
collection. Special collections for leaves or
cardboard are also on the same day of the week.
Different materials are picked up by different
trucks.
To determine the day of the week you get
collections, find your neighborhood on the map, or
check your street on the list below.

This is the DAY you get collections. You must
put materials out the night before your collection
day. So whenever we say, for example, that
your garbage day is Monday, you must put it out
Sunday night for Monday morning pick-up.

Leaves are only collected on leaf weeks for 9 weeks
in the fall and 4 times every other week in
the spring.

Large cardboard is collected once a month. [Check

During holiday weeks the remaining collection days
after the holiday is observed are delayed one day
for all materials. Days of the week before the
holiday is observed are not affected. [Check

If, for example, there is a holiday Monday, then
people whose collection day is “Monday” put all
materials out Monday night for Tuesday instead of
Sunday night for Monday.
* The Town collects garbage and recycling from most
single family homes, and two- through four- family
homes.
Most apartment buildings and condominiums make
arrangements to have collection done by a private
hauler. The Town does collect from Flax Mill Hollow,
the Landing at Sybil Creek, and Wilcox Estates.
