TAX BILL INFORMATION
The
second
installment of real estate and personal property taxes
as well as full payment of the
supplemental motor vehicle taxes for
the 2010 grand list are due on Jan 1 2012
and are payable by Feb 1, 2012 without penalty. Payments may
be made via:
Mail
– Payments should be
made payable to Tax Collector, Branford and mailed to
Tax Collector, PO
Box 136,
Branford, CT 06405. Please include the list number
from your tax bill on your check to insure proper
credit.
Tax Office –
Payments made be made in person at
the Tax Office Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to
4:30 pm. These payments may be cash, personal check,
money order or cashier’s check.
We do not take
debit or credit cards
in the tax office.
Credit Card
– Payments on
current taxes made be made by credit card by calling
1-800-272-9829 or by accessing
www.officialpayments.com. The jurisdiction code is
1750, and the list number is the last six digits of your
bill number. For example, if your bill number is
2010-03-0012345
, your list number would be 012345. There
is a fee for this service.
Bills are available on our website. If you have a question regarding your
assessment, or if you no longer own the motor vehicle on
your tax bill, please contact the assessor’s office at
