Civil Union License
Note: Public Act 09-13 states in part that if persons in a
civil union do not marry by October 1, 2010, their civil
union will convert into a marriage by operation of law,
unless a proceeding to dissolve, annul or legally separate
is pending on October 1, 2010.
May apply for license in town in which the ceremony
is to take place (Date and Location must be determined prior
to applying for license)
Partners must personally appear before the Town Clerk before
license is issued
Photo Identification is required
License is valid for 65 days from date of application
Fee is $30.00
No appointment required; hours of issuance are 8:30 A.M.
through 4:00 P.M.
