Membership:
Branford residents age 60+ are eligible to apply for
membership. (Members must be independent and oriented.)
Dues are $ 8 per year. Guests and non-residents are
welcome to accompany a member to an activity or on a
trip as
space permits. Stop by the Front Office today and
activate your membership, we look forward to meeting
you!

Transportation Information
Bus
Transportation: Available daily to Canoe
Brook Center for lunch, activities, and trips. Call the
transportation office at 315-0681 a day in advance to
reserve a ride. There is no charge to use our
transportation services, however donations are accepted.
For weekend, evening, or wheelchair transportation
please call Greater New Haven Transit District at
288-6282 or click here for more info on the
MyRide
transportation services.
Medical Appointments:
Available for Branford residents to appointments in
Branford, Guilford, New Haven, and the VA. Appointment
times must be between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00
p.m. Cars are off the road by 3:00 p.m. A five day
advance notice of appointments is advised at times we
are filled to capacity so the sooner you reserve your
ride the more likely it is we can accommodate your
request.
Shopping Schedule:
Tuesday, 8:30 a.m. Stop and Shop for Stony
Creek and central Branford.
Tuesday,11:30 a.m. Big Y for Branford, Short Beach &
Branford Hills.
Thursday, 8:30 a.m. Mini-trips to local malls
and/or department stores; call for schedule.
Friday, 8:30 a.m. Stop and Shop for Stony
Creek and central Branford.
Friday, 11:30 a.m. Big Y for Branford, Short
Beach & Branford Hills.

Assistance with Energy Assistance, Operation
Fuel, Renter's Rebate, Housing, Social Security,
Medicare, Medicaid, Food Stamps, tax relief, and
consumer protection issues is available. Please call

Activities:
Canoe Brook offers a full complement of
social, educational, recreational, and cultural programs
designed for today's Senior. Pre-registration is

Senior Cafe:
Lunch is served at noon Monday-Friday for a suggested
donation of $ 2.00 (donation is requested at time of
reservation.) Transportation is available. Menus are
posted at the Center. To make a reservation call
315-0685 no later than 12:30 pm the day before you would
like to come. Cafe hours are Monday - Friday 10am

Meals on
Wheels:
Managed by the Area Agency on Aging home delivered meals
are available to homebound Seniors.

for home delivered meals please call the Meals on Wheels
