With Spring springing it appears a lot of people are anxious to do their Spring cleaning.
Please keep in mind your lists of what you are getting rid of can have a lot of everyday household hazardous waste products that should never go into the trash.
I’ve attached the flyer of items that Branford residents can be bring free of charge and dispose of correctly.
As always, Hazwaste Central is open on Saturdays 9 am to noon, and this year opening day is May 22nd , through October 30th.
That said, handling and disposing of hazardous waste materials requires a special set of regulations due to the potential damage they can cause to people, pets and the environment. It is important to follow the hazardous waste disposal methods the Town of Branford provides for the materials listed here, please hang on to them until opening day.
