Skilled Tradesperson

As guided by the Lead Tradesperson, maintains the physical town buildings in a condition of operating excellence, safety and appearance. Assumes primary responsibility for the safe conditions and cleanliness of flooring, door frames, doors, window frames, staircases stair threads, wall paneling and lighting, ceiling paneling, hardware and other  structural elements in the facilities owned and operated by the Town. Reports all maintenance repairs needed to Lead Tradesperson to determine which repairs may be done in-house and those requiring specialized skills. Assists as part of a team in hand shoveling and truck snow removal at Town buildings. Works in all emergency situations with building prevention methods and repairs. Does internal painting and other experienced trades skills as required. Must be able to work independently and as a team member. Excellent customer service skills required.
