Summary of Job:
The position assists the Inland Wetlands Environmental Director in the successful administration of all inland wetlands department activities including working with the public and with the Town’s engineering, planning, zoning and building department’s staff to provide support in the application, permitting, violations and resource protection administrative practices. To assure a seamless approach to serving the residents and commercial property owners and the public at large, this position will require attendance and taking meeting minutes at Commission meetings and site visits, as assigned by the Director. You will also compose correspondence, reports, memorandum, agendas, legal notices, and reports that are required to successfully communicate information as approved by the Director. As a main communicator with the public your professional communication customer service skills will be integral to your success. Your Bachelor’s degree in earth science or another environmental field and/or 5 plus years’ experience or equivalent combination of related education and experience are preferred.
