  • Summary of Job:  Join Branford’s Public Works Department: general maintenance work that is required for the proper, orderly & effective maintenance & improvement of all town road systems. Performs daily functions as assigned which can include: road maintenance, cleaning of debris after storms, snow plowing, salting roads, and minor truck maintence such as greasing, washing, mowing grass, installation of drainage components, shoveling & raking asphalt, cleaning catch basins, & cutting wood.  May be required to paint interior walls and trim and other assignments to maintain the Town’s infrastructure. 
  • Qualification & Education Requirements: High School graduate or GED equivalent.  Four (4) years of experience relating to construction, maintenance, or repair; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Preferred Skills: Class A CDL license, GVWR 26001 lbs or more, heavy equipment such as: loader, backhoe, & excavator, tractors, rollers, sweeper etc.  Should be about to work without constant direct supervision, ability to work successfully as a team member, and values safety procedures, polices and enjoys working outdoors.
