Economic and Business Development Manager

The Economic and Business Development manager will assist and advise the First Selectman and the Economic Development Commission on matters relating to the promotion and development of the economic resources of the Town to improve the tax base and economic community development programs to stimulate business development. Works on the Town’s behalf to help retain and/or expand existing businesses, marketing the Town to potential new businesses and industries, and targeting and recruiting new business owners and companies to the Town of Branford. Assumes administrative responsibilities for development, research and recommendation of procedures to encourage, track, implement and monitor economic development projects and programs. Works with the Town Planning, Building, Engineering and Inland Wetland departments to lead new potential applications which will enhance and expand the Town’s commercial and residential development. Seeks out grants and financing to support economic growth and community development.  This is a Part Time position - 19 hours per week.
