The Planning and Zoning office handles applications covering a variety of activities, including subdivision of land, construction of buildings, site development, change of use, signage, and regulation amendments.
The first step in the application process is to submit a completed application form, a fee, a site plan, and architectural plans to the Planning and Zoning office.
Some types of applications, such as single family residential construction in a residential zone, are routed directly to the Zoning Enforcement Officer for processing. Others, such as applications for commercial and multi-family development, are reviewed and voted on by the Planning and Zoning Commission at their regular twice-monthly meetings.
